Prayers of the people 13

God, you have given us Jesus the King who marched to Jerusalem today.
This was your only Son.
Your only Son was marching to show us the way of peace and freedom.
Let’s us march with him.

Jesus, thank you for your work for peace.
Thank you for inviting us to march alongside with you.
May your kingdom come today.
May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Thank you for making God’s name holy by showing God’s action.
Thank you for making God’s kingdom known by doing what God would do.
Thank you for helping us understand which path is the way of God.

Forgive us if we expect you to do what you don’t want to do.
Then help us to forgive those who expect us to do what we don’t want to do.

Jesus, you dwell among us.
You provide joy, love, faith, and victory in life.
You take our weakness and take charge of our future.
You take care of our family and friends.
Thank you for enabling all of us to live in harmony with you and with your people.
We bless all those who serve you today.

Jesus, we pray for those who ask for our prayers and who pray for us.
Whether the name is spoken or remained in our heart, give them your peace and healing.
Keep them in your love, as they wait for your coming.
Keep them in your community.

Jesus, we are your new creation.
Touch and heal our minds.
Renew us. Fill us with your love.
Inspire us to love each other and serve the human family.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
