Jesus, you were God in any way, shape, or form.
But you didn’t insist that the world should worship you.
Instead, you humbled yourself.
You chose to serve.
In order to serve, you became a human.
When you became a human, you continually humbled yourself.
Then you humbled yourself in obedience to God and died a criminal's death on a cross.
Then God the Father, you jumped at his humbleness.
You highly exalted Jesus.
You made Jesus the most important person in the universe.
You ordered that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
So, Jesus, we come to worship you Jesus here today.
Because we cannot live like you, even though we know of your humbleness.
We cannot even though we know you are inviting us to live like you.
There is no good in us to do so.
But if Jesus, you live in us and live your life through us, it is possible.
If your Holy Spirit lives in us and work miracles in us, we can live like you.
So, you have to dwell in us.
You are our strength and our energy for any good in life.
Otherwise, we are no good.
So, help us, empower us, and change us so that we may live the humble life of yours.
We also pray for our friends and family and all those who pray for us and ask for our prayer.
They need you, too, Jesus.
Draw near to you.
Strengthen all of us and guide all of us to be good and kind like you.
May we all want to be with you.
May we want to be like you.
May you do good work in us and through us.
May your Spirit transform us to be good and humble, as we worship you, Jesus who is God today.
In Jesus name, amen.
