Hymn SF #2203 "In Your time"

In Your time, in Your time, You make all things beautiful in Your time.
Lord, my life to You I bring, may each song I have to sing,
Be to You a lovely thing, in Your time.

Hymn SF #2013 "Bless the Lord, My Soul"

Bless the Lord, my soul, and bless God's holy name.
Bless the Lord, my soul, who leads me into life.

Gospel reading: Luke 6:27-31
Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. If anyone strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also; and from anyone who takes away your coat do not withhold even your shirt. Give to everyone who begs from you; and if anyone takes away your goods, do not ask for them again. Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Silent Prayer

Stay with me:

Stay with me, remain here with me. Watch and pray. Watch and pray.

Wait for the Lord:

Wait for the Lord, whose day is near. Wait for the Lord. Keep watch, take heart.

Intercessory Prayer

Holy Spirit come to us: (Veni Sancete Spiritus): Sing once

"Holy Spirit come to us"
“Eternal God, you have freed us by giving us your only Son. You open for us the way of freedom.”
"Holy Spirit come to us"
“God, you want us to become new creatures in Christ. Keep us in the communion of your Son. Keep us alert as we wait for the day of his coming.”
"Holy Spirit come to us"

“Christ, your spirit of life dwells within every human being. May the Spirit enable us to tear down walls of mistrust and of fear, Lord, we pray.”
"Holy Spirit come to us"

“Give us your peace, so that we can communicate it to one another in mutual love, and serve the human family.”
"Holy Spirit come to us"

“Christ, you have taken our weaknesses upon yourself and taken charge of our illnesses. Support those who are going through trials, Lord, we pray.”
"Holy Spirit come to us"

“For those who work with the oppressed, with foreigners and with the lonely, Lord, we pray.”
"Holy Spirit come to us"

“We entrust to you our families and friends, all who have asked for our prayers and who pray for us, whom we name before you now, (please speak out the names at this time.)
Lord, we pray…”
"Holy Spirit come to us"

God is Forgiveness:

God is forgiveness. Dare to forgive and God will be with you.
God is forgiveness. Love and do not fear.

Closing Prayer:
Risen Christ, you take us with our hearts just as they are. Why do we think we must wait for our hearts to be changed before we go to you? You transfigure them. With our thorns, you light a fire. The open wound in us is the place through which your love comes streaming. And within the very hurts themselves, you bring to fruition a communion with you. Your voice comes to rend our night, and the gateways of praise open within us. (A prayer from Taizé)

Jesus, remember me:

Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.
